Year 5 Ancient Greece

To end their humanities topic on Ancient Greece, Year Five immersed themselves in a day of Greek culture and activities. In the morning, they built temples, some of which were able to withstand the weight of 50 whiteboards. They were then treated to a Greek feast presented by Mr Bolton who produced “a delicious salad”.

Later in the day they wrote poetry and performed music to their respective classes, before rounding the day off with a four event mini Olympics and a closing ceremony, with the day’s winners awarded laurel wreaths they had created earlier in the week.
