On Thursday 13th of January, blogger of Foodie in Arabia Suzanne Greenfield organised a visit from a special guest to DBGS Year 5, who came to give them a presentation on how she became the first Saudi woman and the youngest Arab person to scale to the peak of Mount Everest.
As well as showing footage of her climb, Raha Moharrak spent time answering an array of inquisitive questions, and was also kind enough to sign t-shirts presented by Koita milk.
Year 5 also had the opportunity to meet entrepreneur Mustafa Koita who founded Koita, a programme for organic foods. He spoke to the children about the importance of organic foods. Special thanks to Paul Greenfield from Tamimi Markets for generously supplying Koita organic chocolate milk and cookies to the children during this event.
The visit was certainly an inspirational one not just for the year group, but for those who are preparing to climb to base camp with Mr Hardcastle in the Easter break.
