Piano Tuition

Dear Parents and Students,

DBGS is pleased to announce it is now in a position to offer a limited programme of individual piano lessons for students interested in learning or progressing in Piano. Priority will be given to KS2/KS3 students initially.

These lessons will take place on either Saturday or Wednesday between 10:50am and 2:30pm. Lessons will run weekly on a half hour rotation thus avoiding students continually missing the same lesson.

Tuition fees will be SR100 per lesson, paid termly in advance. Lessons will begin in the week starting 18th February. A full lesson schedule provided. Lessons will run for a minimum of one term. As these lessons take place during school time a high level of commitment both to attendance and out of school practice is expected.

An application form should be downloaded from the school website (under Policies and Forms or from the link below), completed and returned along with SR600 fee in a sealed envelope with the student’s name and form to Mr. Power by 4th February if interested.

Should your application be unsuccessful (due to oversubscription) all monies will be returned.

Student Council – Valentines fundraiser

This February the student council will be raising money for Brian House – a purpose built children’s Hospice providing care and support for children and young people who have been diagnosed with life threatening or life limiting conditions.
We will be selling little teddy bears with chocolates and cards that can be sent to a friend or family member this valentines day. The charity have kindly provided teddy bears for our student council to sell and hopefully raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
More information about Brian House can be found on their website http://www.trinityhospice.co.uk/brian-house/.

Sales will start at the beginning of February and information about pricing and procedure will be posted on the blog at the beginning of the month.
Thanks
Julia Sheridan, Rachel Cannon and DBGS student council
