Thank you so much for your efforts since the dim and distant days of August 22nd. It has been long, at times difficult but we have made it.
Well done to our Student Council for opting for such a lovely present for the amazing work to the team of fantastic workers.

Every year, the Arts Festival brings the ISG and surrounding communities together to celebrate the arts. In 2017, the variety of arts at DBGS, DHS and DEMS firsthand. A talented group of student and faculty artists presented music, theater, dance, poetry, painting, sculpture, and more.
The teachers and the youngest children of ISG (Little Learners, DEMS and DBGS-Foundation Stage) gathered in their pyjamas to watch The Polar Express. They enjoyed the movie with popcorn and hot chocolate!
Rainbows and 3 Red children enjoyed a joint morning activity of designing, constructing and then demolishing (eating) their gingerbread houses.
Class 1 Blue were extremely excited to celebrate a term of great learning with their friends and their families. They enjoyed sharing fun facts about the polar regions and the animals that live there. The story of ‘One Snowy Night’, based on the book by Nick Butterworth, featured Percy the Park Keeper, fluttering snowflakes and a number of adorable animals. The confidence of all the young actors was a joy to behold.
We are proud to announce our Term 2 after school clubs. Beginning on 14th January 2018. Each child will be sent a link with a questionnaire to complete. All choices will be recorded and the questionnaire will close on the 21st December at close of school. The clubs are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Your child will receive a confirmation letter the first week of term if they were successful and accepted into a club.

The Foundation Stage students went to Dera Park to celebrate the end of year 2017. All Foundation Stage children had their picnic together and played. Children, parent volunteers and teachers had a fantastic time!
As time passes, Mr Bolton is as good as his word. He heralds the holidays by merely grimacing at the word and does not go on to form Boltonopia (well not in quite the same way). Mr Bolton brings a little of the holiday into every end of term day, respecting the lessons of the holidays more than any man not presently alive.
FS2 yellow students are learning about hot and cold places, animals who live there, and different habitats and climates. They have decided to travel to the North Pole this week to see Santa and the polar bears. So, they packed their suitcases, prepared their passports and tickets, went to the airport and they were ready to travel.
After 4 intensive days of interactions with the ISG community, the visiting MSA team are recommending full accreditation for ISG to the MSA commission. Congrats to the movers and shakers who drove it and the ISG community- well deserved.
